Experienced Professional High School Tutor - Math

Description

Give your child the support they need to excel! I'm an experienced Math Teacher with a Masters of Engineering degree from the University Of Calgary with over 10 years of tutoring experience and I'm offering Math Tutoring and support for Alberta High School Math Courses. This includes Math 10C, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2 and Math 31. I've taught all of these courses several times and am very familiar with the course content. I specialize in helping students understand complex problems and concepts by breaking them down into simple steps. I enjoy helping students get a deep understanding of concepts and I've helped them achieve very high marks and get into good university programs including engineering, law and medicine. My students find that I teach concepts in an easy and understandable way and I always welcome questions. My students find my classes to be engaging, interactive and helpful. Many of them have seen their marks increase significantly and I help them acquire a strong command over subject material that increases their confidence and ability to perform on difficult tests and diploma exams. I've been teaching for over 8 years now and I've gotten a lot of positive feedback about my patient and constructive teaching style and method. I would love to work with your child to help them do the same. I've helped many students who were initially struggling with math and did not like the subject and through my teaching style they were able to drastically improve their grades. I have a very open and welcoming class atmosphere that encourages asking questions and I help students to understand how to solve complex math and science questions along with developing strategies for problem solving that helps them in exams. Every student has their own unique learning needs and I am able to personalize my teaching to help your child realize their academic potential and to excel in their courses. Classes are conducted through Zoom sessions which are easy and convenient to use - I explain concepts on an interactive whiteboard and provide notes to my students at the end of class so that they can focus on my teaching while I explain concepts. Notes are provided to students at the end of class by email in a PDF format too. Students are able to ask questions and bring assignments to me for feedback so that they can improve and get a stronger understanding of the course material. Students find the online classes convenient, and they feel that it provides them with a solid learning environment as well which is both engaging and interactive. *I also offer a trial hour so you can see my style and quality of teaching. Payments are always after class. Feel free to send me a text at 825-736-3749 or by email to yycexperttutor@gmail.com and I would love to create a study plan to help you achieve your academic goals.
