Hello everyone, The Edmonton Photographic Historical Society is a camera / photography club open to the public. There is no charge to join and no monthly dues to belong. It is completely FREE. We exist to promote the historical aspects of photography, the art and science of the processes, the equipment that was used, and the photographers that made the images. If you are interested in any of these aspects, then this group is for you. We meet from 7-9 pm on the third Wednesday of each month for most of the year with the exception of our summer break during July and August. Each meeting begins with standard reports and Society business, followed by a round table discussion of the meeting topic. Members can bring in equipment, photographs, or anything depicting that topic eg: folding cameras, stereo photography, miniature equipment, etc. Sometimes we have guest speakers. Of course, there is always a show and tell for your latest acquisition, photo layout, or anything else you wish. There are no regular meetings in July and August. Depending upon member interest, we occasionally will organize a photo shoot outing and / or social gathering (coffee meet-up).
