We're Looking for Compassionate Leaders! Join the Board of Directors – Shirley Dawn Foundation Do you have a heart for helping others? Do you believe that faith, compassion, and community can change lives? The Shirley Dawn Foundation is looking for dedicated, compassionate individuals to join our Board of Directors as we work toward building a stronger support system for individuals and families affected by domestic abuse, sexual assault, addiction, and the challenges that impact their children. Our vision is to provide more than temporary assistance. We want to help people rebuild their lives by addressing their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through compassionate support, essential resources, and meaningful opportunities for a fresh start. We are looking for individuals who: - Have a genuine passion for helping others. - Lead with compassion, kindness, integrity, and a giving heart. - Have a personal faith in God that inspires them to serve and uplift others. - Believe in the importance of restoring hope, dignity, and opportunity to those facing difficult circumstances. - Are willing to contribute their time, knowledge, experience, and ideas toward a meaningful cause. Experience that would be particularly valuable includes: - Non-profit leadership, administration, or board experience. - Mental health, counselling, or social services. - Fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations. - Social media management, marketing, and communications. - Website development, design, and digital strategy. - Business management, strategic planning, and community partnerships. You do not need to have experience in every one of these areas. We are looking for people with different strengths, backgrounds, and experiences who share a common purpose. This is more than a board position. It's an opportunity to be part of something that can genuinely change lives.
