Specialized nurse in emergency unit - New Brunswick

Daigle Boulevard, Grand-Sault, NB E2Z 1G5) Edmundston Regional Hospital (located at 275 Hébert Boulevard, Edmundston, NB E3V 4E4) Campbellton Regional Hospital (located at 189 Lily Lake Road, Campbellton, NB E3N 3H3) Hôpital de l’Enfant-Jésus RHSJ† (located at 1 Saint-Pierre Ouest Boulevard, Caraquet, NB E1W 1B6) Start Date: As early as August End Date: Permanent full-time (and some part-time positions) Languages: French and English – bilingualism essential Mileage and accommodation: Not covered Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year Work Location: On-site We are seeking a nurse or clinical nurse for the emergency unit to be assigned across various hospitals in the province of New Brunswick. Your primary responsibility will be to identify patient needs and participate in the planning, organization, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with the hospital’s and nursing services’ philosophy, objectives, and policies. You will ensure continuous monitoring of patients’ health conditions, anticipate potential complications, and be able to respond quickly in emergency situations. The successful candidate may be required to work in all nursing care units and accompany patients during transfers. Requirements: - Registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick; - At least one (1) year of relevant clinical nursing experience acquired within the last five (5) years; - Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); - Cardiac arrhythmia course to be completed within established timelines; - Emergency critical care certification or equivalent, or obtain it within established timelines; - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, or obtain it within established timelines; - Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification, or obtain it within established timelines; - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, or obtain it within established timelines; - Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification; - Emergency Triage Assessment and Process (ETAP) course to be completed within established timelines; - Successful completion of certification programs for delegated medical acts specific to emergency care within established timelines; - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; - Physical ability to perform assigned duties; - Good previous work record (performance and attendance); - Commitment to professional ethics, the Vitalité Health Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values; - Compliance with the confidentiality policies of the Vitalité Health Network.
