Introductory and advanced solo canoeing course on whitewater This course is designed for individuals seeking to experience river canoeing. You will learn how to read currents, select an optimal descent line, cross the river efficiently (ferry), perform eddy turns and exits, and adapt your maneuvers according to water flow. The techniques taught will enable you to maintain control and respond effectively to various water movements. Everything takes place progressively, safely, and accessibly on moderate sections of the Petite-Nation River. It is an excellent way to experience your first sensations of whitewater while simultaneously building your independence and confidence on the water. This course is recommended for individuals who have already completed an introductory course in flatwater or possess a solid foundation in solo canoeing. Important course information: Duration: 3 hours Hours: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Price per person. (65 $ per person) This course includes all necessary equipment: solo canoe, PFD (personal flotation device), helmet, paddle, wetsuit (if needed), and water boots. You may also bring your own boat and equipment, provided they are suitable for whitewater canoeing and in good condition. Please note that this course requires a minimum of 3 participants to run. If fewer than 3 people register, you will be offered the option of scheduling a private/semi-private session or rescheduling your course to another date.
