Math & Science Tutor | Grades 7-12 ; Grade 11-12 Chem & physics

Description

Are you tired of paying for tutors who just sit there and do your child's homework for them, only for your child to still struggle on their school tests? I am a professional Engineer holding a BSc. degree in Chemistry from York University. As an experienced tutor specializing in Math and Science, I help students master Grades 7 to 11 (All Streams), as well as Grade 11- 12 Chemistry, Physics, and Advanced Functions (MHF4U). My teaching philosophy is completely different from standard "homework helpers." I don't just give students the answers—I train them HOW to think, study, and problem-solve independently. With my strong engineering background and a deep understanding of the Ontario curriculum, I install the core academic habits that students often miss in crowded classrooms. My Step-by-Step Training Method Includes: * Textbook Study Skills: Teaching students how to actively read chapters and extract clear, effective short notes for review. * Math Formatting & Structure: Training students to write math equations step-by-step, with each step on a separate line directly underneath the previous one, ensuring clear logical flow and fewer mistakes. * Rigorous Practice Routine: Assigning comprehensive question sets (50+ questions per unit) to build deep muscle memory before test day. * Chapter-by-Chapter Testing: I mark & grade customized quizzes and practice tests OR have the student complete end of chapter questions to build exam confidence and eliminate academic anxiety. Proven Results (Recent Success Story): In my recent contract, I tutored three siblings from the same family. Within just 2 months, their marks jumped from the mid-60s to the 80s by midterm and final report cards because they learned how to study. Subjects Offered: * Math & Science (Grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) * Grade 12 Advanced Functions (MHF4U) * Grade 11 & 12 Chemistry (SCH3U / SCH4U) * Grade 11 & 12 Physics (SPH3U / SPH4U) Rates & Availability: * Rate: $45 / hour (Premium, structured prep and custom testing included)
 * Flexible scheduling for evenings and weekends. Don't wait until the next report card to fix a dropping mark. Let’s build your child's confidence and turn those 60s into 80s. Click "Message" or Reply to this ad today with your child's grade and the subject they need help with to secure a spot!
