Hi everyone. My name is Artem. I graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor's degree in math and for the past 10 years I've been tutoring math online and in person. I love both math and math tutoring. My students and friends know me as both a brilliant mathematician and as someone very patient and attentive when explaining new concepts to people. I hope that my tutoring helps you or your kids enjoy math a little more and also helps school feel a little less stressful and frustrating. I have experience tutoring both students that need help because they're falling behind and students that are reaching ahead, sometimes taking advanced courses or preparing for math contests. Over the past 10 years I've sometimes tutored part-time, sometimes full time and sometimes I've taken time off to travel. During early Covid I was tutoring around 60 hours per week online. These days I'm aiming to have around 20-30 hours per week. Here are my rates for the courses I'm most comfortable tutoring: Grade 10 Ontario math - $45/hour Grade 11 Ontario math - $45/hour Grade 12 Ontario Advanced Functions - $45/hour Grade 12 Ontario Calc and Vectors - $45/hour University Calc 1 and 2 - $50/hour First Year Linear Algebra - $50/hour Carleton Discrete Math for Comp. Sci. - $45/hour Feel free to ask me about other courses as well. The courses above are just what I can guarantee the highest quality of tutoring for. Personally, my favorite types of math are abstract algebra, real analysis and combinatorics, but fewer people ask me to help with those courses, so I end up with less experience. I offer a discounted rate of $25/hour for the first hour I tutor any student. For online tutoring, I tutor over Zoom, using the whiteboard feature. For in person tutoring, I meet my student at the Gloucester North Library. My preferred method of getting paid is through e-transfer.
