Social Worker - Addiction Program - Cote Nord
JOB OFFERING – Social Worker Specialty: External toxicology service (addiction program) Work location: Forestville, Côte Nord, Quebec Contract duration: From September 22 to March 27, 2026 Full-time contract About the position: Services SFT is looking for a Social Worker for Forestville within the healthcare network on the beautiful Côte Nord. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele in a stimulating environment. Main responsibilities: Assess the psychosocial situation of clients and their families. Provide intervention for clients experiencing difficulties (mental health, addiction, youth, elderly, etc.). Develop and implement individualized intervention plans. Provide guidance and support to clients throughout their care journey. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in social work or social service. Full member in good standing with the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec (OTSTCFQ). Recent and relevant experience in addiction. Training in suicide/homicide assessment, IGT, and other addiction evaluation tools. Valid driver's license and vehicle required. The Protection Regime Assessment training must either be completed prior to start date or the candidate must commit to completing it immediately upon beginning the position. Excellent listening skills, adaptability, and ability to work as part of a team. Availability to work full-time for the entire duration of the contract.
