
The University of Windsor is looking for interested individuals to participate in a study exploring the childbirth experiences of women with a histories of gender-based violence (GBV). REQUIREMENTS: • Identify as assigned female at birth • Experienced any form of childbirth after 20 weeks' gestation • Experienced GBV prior to childbirth experience • Have not experienced GBV within the last 6 months • Over the age of 18 years old • Access to the internet • Can read and write in the English language • Live in Ontario PARTICIPATION WILL INVOLVE: • Survey: Complete a 20 minute survey asking about your demographic information (age, race, childbirth history, GBV history). • Interview: Complete one 60-90 minute interview exploring your childbirth experiences within the context of GBV. It includes physical, emotional, verbal, coercive, and discriminatory forms of violence. Not everyone who expresses interest will be selected to participate.
