Beyond The Ego

Who are we? Where did we come from? What is our purpose? These are the three fundamental questions we begin asking as children. When left unresolved, they often become the source of lifelong confusion—manifesting as anxiety, anger, frustration, and deep mental suffering that affects both our personal and professional lives. I know this because I lived it. ⸻ My Journey My name is Omar J. Garibay. I am 34 years old. Since the age of seven, these questions have lived in my mind, shaping the way I see the world. I grew up in a Catholic family, yet I questioned religion. I questioned systems, authority, identity, and ideology. I studied spirituality, philosophy, psychology, business, politics, music, and science. I spoke with people who claimed they had the answers—and each answer only led to deeper questioning. Eventually, I reached a realization: The questions themselves are incomplete. Instead of asking Who are we? We must ask: What does it mean to be human? Instead of asking Where did we come from? We must ask: Where are we now—as individuals and as a species? Instead of asking What is our purpose? We must ask: Where are we going together? ⸻ The Core Truth We suffer because we confuse the ego with the self. We mistake our jobs, beliefs, fears, traumas, and identities for who we are. We divide ourselves through labels, ideologies, and systems—forgetting that we are part of a shared consciousness, a collective human experience. We are not our titles. We are not politics. We are not the systems we live under. We are beauty, awareness, and potential—expressed through human experience. ⸻ What I Offer I do not teach you something new. I help you remember what you already are. This process is about unlocking clarity, grounding, and inner peace by stripping away the false identities that create suffering. You are more than anxiety. You are more than unanswered questions. You carry limitless potential once fear no longer controls your thoughts. ⸻ What This Is — and What It Is Not • This is not therapy • This is not religion • This is not dogma or indoctrination This is the space philosophers, poets, artists, scientists, and dreamers speak from—the place where awareness replaces fear. I do not claim to have all the answers. I am human. I am still learning.
