Are you passionate about aviation and skilled in aircraft maintenance? Join our dynamic team as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (avionics). You will play a vital role in performing preventive and corrective maintenance, overseeing inspections, and contributing to the safety and reliability of our aircraft fleet. Your role: The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (avionics) will perform maintenance tasks assigned by the coordinator. They will also carry out aircraft maintenance releases and contribute to correcting defects found during routine inspections or inspections after a flight reported by the crew. They may also be required to oversee an inspection or modification on a given aircraft. The tasks include, but are not limited to: Performing repairs, overhauls, or modifications on aircraft, components, and equipment as assigned; Adhering to procedures contained in the maintenance policy manual; Ability to read and understand various schematics for maintenance troubleshooting; Performing and coordinating the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company aircraft and related systems; Troubleshooting aircraft issues; Building, calibrating, and maintaining control boxes or panels; Contributing to the rectification of deficiencies found during routine inspections or reported by a crew after a flight; Performing tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures, while paying particular attention to personal safety and that of colleagues and customers; Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures and using only company-approved equipment and materials; Keeping their technical and health/safety training records up to date. Requirements Required Qualifications: Must hold (or be in the process of obtaining) a valid Transport Canada Category E AME license; Proficient with computers and diagnostic tools; Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations; Perform tasks in accordance with aircraft specifications and maintenance manuals; Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status; Eligible for obtaining a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC); Class 5 driver's license. Your Skills: Good communication skills (French and English); Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with great attention to detail; Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines; Ability to work a flexible schedule. THE TASKS YOU WILL CARRY OUT 🎯 Identify production operational needs, define and write work methods Read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, process specifications, standards and norms. Assess technical feasibility based on engineering data. Visualize and set up manufacturing and assembly processes and procedures. Perform technical functional analyses (functional dimensioning). Establish the production flow according to tasks to be performed and their duration. Determine optimal work sequences. Produce and modify assembly instructions for manufacturing or assembling parts and components. Produce and modify visual aids designed to improve understanding of the work to be performed in production. Determine tooling requirements (hand tools, templates). Establish the required workforce quantity and technical skills needed to perform the work. Provide technical coaching to less experienced methods agents. Implement procedures and plans to ensure the quality of the work performed. Plan and implement production changes and ensure pre-production coordination Apply principles of change management, configuration control and effectiveness. Analyze technical impacts of changes. Perform financial analyses and assist with bids. Understand and apply mock-up concepts. Master first article inspection (FAI) control processes. Ensure technical liaison between different departments. Support daily production activities Assess the technical content of support requests. Investigate the root cause of problems and propose effective solutions. Write repair procedures. Provide technical advisory support to production. Electrical discipline: Installation of electrical wiring and harnesses. Troubleshooting related to electrical systems. Understand the requirements of AS 9100 standards related to the responsibilities of this position. Comply with the company's QMS procedures and apply the required tools when performing tasks. Requirements YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS 💎 Education: You hold a technical college diploma and/or equivalent experience. You have 2 years of relevant experience or more in aerospace. Skills: You are comfortable reading technical drawings, have good 3D visualization, strong analytical skills and electrical expertise. You are familiar with methods for writing assembly instructions. You are proficient in computer-aided design software such as Catia V5 or Mentor Graphics. You are familiar with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software such as BAAN or SAP. You are proficient in MS Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of aircraft structure, systems and interior finishing will be considered an asset. Personal qualities: You have strong logical and mechanical aptitude. You have excellent teamwork skills. You are recognized for your perseverance and judgment. You have a strong customer focus and good interpersonal communication skills. Language skills: You are fluent in French, both written and spoken. You have a good command of English. Starlink Aviation is looking for an Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Your Role Under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance, your role will consist of performing routine maintenance tasks as scheduled by your coordinator. Tasks include, but are not limited to: Performing inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, or modifications on aircraft, components, and equipment within Starlink’s fleet as assigned; Complying with procedures outlined in the Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM); Reporting any discrepancies found during maintenance activities to the maintenance coordinators; Reporting any uncompleted work to the maintenance coordinators using the proper deferral process; Supporting the rectification of deficiencies found during routine inspections or reported by flight crews after a flight; Carrying out tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures, with a strong focus on personal safety, as well as the safety of colleagues and clients; Maintaining required training certifications; Following all health and safety procedures and only using company-approved equipment and materials; Keeping a clean and organized work environment; May be required to assist other teams (e.g., line maintenance or heavy/moderate maintenance) during downtime in their assigned team; Performing any other related duties as needed. Requirements Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (maintenance); Must be in the process of obtaining a valid AME license from Transport Canada; Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and operations; Ability to perform tasks in accordance with aircraft specifications and maintenance manuals; Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status; Eligible for obtaining an identity card for restricted areas (RAIC); Driver's License class 5 (an asset).
