High-School & K–8 Math Tutor | University Engineering Grad

Description

Hey! My name is Abdulbar, and I’m a Systems & Computing Engineering graduate from the University of Guelph. I provide personalized math tutoring for students in Grades K–12, specializing in High School Math (Grades 9–12). Back in high school, I was able to score a 96% in Grade 12 Advanced Functions while I was still in Grade 11. In my experience, "natural intelligence" is rarely the main reason students struggle with math. Usually, it comes down to two simple things: 1. Lacking fundamental math concepts built up over previous years. 2. Not using the right study techniques tailored to how math is actually learned. As a tutor, my goal goes beyond just helping with daily homework. I focus on finding and filling your specific knowledge gaps so you can understand math concepts deeply and build real confidence in the subject. At the same time, I teach you how to learn using effective, practical study habits that actually stick. These are the exact methods I relied on to succeed throughout my engineering degree. We can study in-person if you are in Kitchener, Waterloo or Cambridge at a local library or online!
