Health and Safety Project Officer
We are looking for a Health and Safety Project Officer. In this position, you will be involved in a client project within the public sector in the city of La Prairie, QC. South Shore of Montreal
The Health and Safety Project Manager contributes to the definition, implementation, and monitoring of policies, evaluation, and surveillance of occupational risks from the standpoint of health protection.
Role:
Taking charge of project initiation, definition, and implementation, mobilizing project team members, monitoring and managing project execution, as well as responsibility transfer;
Description of objectives:
Establish a health analysis system
Implement appropriate quantitative and qualitative tools for assessing health risks, adapted to the company's realities and available resources.
Analyze health and safety indicators (workplace accidents, occupational diseases, absenteeism, exposures)
Prepare, write, and present health and safety audits (mastery of ISO, AFNOR, ILO standards...)
Ensure technical and legal monitoring in occupational health and safety and radiation protection
Develop a regulatory compliance monitoring system for legal departments.
Anticipate national and international standards by writing alert notices for the management team to prepare the organization (company or administration) for its new regulatory environment
Implement actions in the form of health and safety at work projects
Assist departments in implementing health and safety measures
Translate regulations into actionable steps and instructions - Contribute to developing a health and safety training program, including radiation protection
Communicate key elements of the action plan to company stakeholders
Implement a health and safety program consistent with the company's overall policy
Ensure communication with external health and safety partners
Draft necessary documents for management meetings (annual reports, dashboards..)
Requirements:
The Project Officer must hold a university degree in a field related to occupational health and safety, such as a bachelor's degree, a graduate diploma (DESS), a certificate in health and safety, or a technical diploma in environment, hygiene, and occupational safety, as well as a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the field of occupational health and safety.
