Construction employers often prefer candidates with a valid Class 5 driver’s licence. Workers may need to travel to different jobsites, transport tools or materials, and safely operate company vehicles, making a driver’s licence a valuable asset in the industry. Through Train Alberta’s free programs, eligible participants can receive training and support that leads toward employment in construction.
