POSITION SUMMARY The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing testing of various electrical components related to the bus manufacturing process. This role is also responsible for reviewing and interpreting schematics, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing systems, and operating under strict safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and process documentation to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system issues. Work directly with PLC systems and Ladder Logic programming. Communicate issues encountered during the checkout process clearly and effectively to leadership. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed using tools such as Microsoft Office, Excel, internet browsers, and company-specific software. Develop proficiency in electrical, technical, and mechanical systems, with a focus on high-voltage systems (over 300V). Conduct commissioning of high-voltage systems in accordance with New Flyer checkout procedures, standard work instructions (SWIs), and supporting documentation. Provide training and support on electrical systems, including safe work practices, diagram/schematic interpretation, and programming fundamentals. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Minimum of one year of experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing low- and high-voltage electrical systems, including high-voltage control and energy storage systems. Strong focus on safety, with thorough knowledge of and strict adherence to high-voltage safety protocols and procedures. Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing both AC and DC electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, engineering documents, and design-specific instructions. Understanding of PLC programming and ladder logic. Experience with CAN networks and J1939 communication protocols, including troubleshooting and diagnostics (strong asset). Proficient in using digital electrical measuring tools. Experience with vendor-specific and vehicle systems such as Parker/Vansco, Cummins, Allison, and Wabco (considered an asset). Successful candidates will be required to complete the New Flyer Electrical Technician Training Program, which includes classroom training, testing, and on-the-job training (OJT). Work with fiberglass, carbon fiber, and resins using lay-up, vacuum bagging, infusion, or resin transfer techniques. Mix and apply gelcoat, adhesives, and resins as per project requirements. Trim, assemble, and finish molds using hand tools, power tools, and CNC equipment. Perform surface finishing, woodwork, and body fairing to ensure mold quality. Inspect molds to ensure accuracy, durability, and reusability. Keep molds in good condition through repair and maintenance. Support and mentor junior team members by sharing knowledge and safe work practices. Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school is an asset). 5+ years of hands-on experience in composite mold making or related trade. Strong skills in fiberglass/carbon fiber lay-up and mold fabrication. Good knowledge of resins, adhesives, and mold release systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Experience using measuring tools, templates, gauges, and power/hand tools. CNC machining or CAD/CAM knowledge is an asset but not required. POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a CNC Press Brake Operator to join our production team. This role involves operating CNC press brake machines and related equipment to fabricate parts that meet precise specifications. You’ll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with a team that values quality, safety, and efficiency. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Operate CNC press brakes (e.g., Cincinnati Auto Form) and other fabrication machinery as part of the production process. Select and install appropriate punches and dies based on material specifications. Set up tooling, load programs and configure machine settings to ensure optimal performance. Inspect tools and materials to confirm they are safe and suitable for use. Fabricate parts in accordance with mechanical engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances. Perform secondary operations such as sawing, punching, laser cutting, and tube bending as needed. Prepare finished products for shipment and handle materials (up to 60 lbs.) manually or using hoists. Maintain high standards of workplace organization, safety, and collaboration in line with company expectations. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: High school diploma or GED is required. 2+ years of experience operating and programming a Cincinnati Auto Form or similar press brake machine. Experience with CNC equipment and sheet metal fabrication strongly preferred. Solid understanding of tooling and tool maintenance. Strong measurement skills, including ability to convert between fractions and decimals. Familiarity with materials such as aluminum, steel, and stainless steel. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tape measures, and calipers. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Flexibility to work shift schedules and occasional weekends. Experience with Laser cutting/NC shear punch/NC Tube bending/Laser tube cutting is considered a strong asset.
