Job Title: Specialized De-escalation and Security Officer (SDSO) Location: Abitibi Schedule: Day, evening, night shifts, and weekends (as needed) Agency de placement Services SFT is seeking specialized de-escalation and security officers (SDSO) to serve the Abitibi region. As an SDSO, you will play a key role in preventing and managing crisis situations, as well as ensuring the safety of individuals in institutional, community, or care settings. Your main responsibilities will include: Ensuring the physical and psychological safety of clients, staff, and visitors. Intervening professionally and safely during crisis situations or aggressive behaviors. Applying de-escalation, pacification, and physical intervention techniques as needed, according to established protocols. Collaborating with clinical and multidisciplinary teams. Writing detailed intervention reports. Participating in follow-up or clinical support meetings as required. Requirements: Completed SDSO training (or equivalent recognized certification). Experience in crisis intervention or behavioral decompensation situations. Good physical condition and ability to respond quickly in emergencies. Knowledge of pacification approaches and best practices in mental health (an asset). Ability to work under pressure and remain calm. Availability to work various shifts, including weekends. Experience within the health and social services network (CIUSSS, youth centers, etc.). First aid or non-violent intervention training. Mobility across the Abitibi region.
