POSITION OVERVIEW: The Construction Trade Foreman is responsible for supervising and leading crews of electricians, laborers, and equipment operators on utility-scale renewable energy projects. This role involves ensuring project timelines, safety standards, and quality requirements are met. The Foreman works closely with site supervisors, engineers, and project manager to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow. Requirements 1. Management & Leadership · Supervise and lead crews of electricians, laborers, and equipment operators to ensure efficient and effective project execution. · Coordinate daily tasks and activities with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers. · Provide clear instructions and guidance to crew members to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. · Monitor crew performance and provide feedback to improve productivity and quality. · Ensure adherence to Quanta’s Capacity Model, safety protocols and procedures, and conduct daily safety briefings. 2. Project Coordination · Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers to develop and implement project plans. · Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available and properly allocated to meet project demands. · Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. · Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during project execution to minimize disruptions. 3. Reporting & Documentation · Maintain accurate records of crew activities, project progress, and any incidents or accidents. · Prepare and submit daily timecards and reports to site supervisors and project manager. · Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements. SKILLS: · Strong leadership and management skills. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and site plans. · Strong commitment to safety and quality. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: · High school diploma or equivalent. · Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. · Valid certifications and licenses as required by provincial regulations. · Experience working on renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects is an asset. WORKING CONDITIONS: · This is a field-based position requiring work in varying weather conditions and terrain. · Travel to project sites across Canada is required. · Extended hours and weekend work may be necessary based on project demands. · Potential Living Out Allowance (LOA) allowance or temporary camp available. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy machinery and equipment used in the construction of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This includes site preparation, excavation, grading, and material handling.
