POSITION OVERVIEW: The Construction Trade Foreman is responsible for supervising and leading crews of electricians, laborers, and equipment operators on utility-scale renewable energy projects. The Foreman works closely with site supervisors, engineers, and project manager to coordinate tasks and maintain workflow. Requirements 1. Management & Leadership · Supervise and lead crews of electricians, laborers, and equipment operators to ensure efficient and effective project execution. · Coordinate daily tasks and activities with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers. · Provide clear instructions and guidance to crew members to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines. · Monitor crew performance and provide feedback to improve productivity and quality. · Ensure adherence to Quanta’s Capacity Model, safety protocols and procedures, and conduct daily safety briefings. 2. Project Coordination · Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and project managers to develop and implement project plans. · Ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available and properly allocated to meet project demands. · Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards. · Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during project execution to minimize disruptions. 3. Reporting & Documentation · Maintain accurate records of crew activities, project progress, and any incidents or accidents. · Prepare and submit daily timecards and reports to site supervisors and project manager. · Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements. SKILLS: · Strong leadership and management skills. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and site plans. · Strong commitment to safety and quality. · Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Required: · High school diploma or equivalent. · Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. · Valid certifications and licenses as required by provincial regulations. · Experience working on renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects is an asset.
