The estimator must have a professional demeanor to work with customers, insurers, vendors, and other team members of the repair facility. The estimator must instill confidence in the customer and provide clear expectations. The estimator must understand the effect of collision to a vehicle and highlight damages. The detailed estimate must include factory researched repair specifications and adhere to shop policies and insurer guidelines where applicable. Primary Objectives of the role Set reasonable expectations for the customer, and educate them on the repair process Have thorough understanding of estimating software, required to process estimates. What You'll Do Complete structural and cosmetic repairs on vehicles using OEM and I-CAR standards Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for body and frame repairs Weld, repair, and replace panels, bumpers, and other body components Work with estimators and painters to ensure workflow efficiency Maintain a clean and safe work area Use shop software and tools to document and complete repairs Requirements Who You Are Licensed 310B Auto Body Repair Technician or registered apprentice 2+ years of experience in collision repair Comfortable with structural repairs, welding, and aluminum work Detail-oriented and focused on quality Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Team player with a strong work ethic Benefits Compensation & Benefits Flat rate pay system based on billed hours ($28–$40+/hr potential) Weekly guaranteed earnings of $1,500 when flagged hours fall short Deferred repayment plan when technician exceeds target in future weeks Overtime and bonus opportunities available Paid OEM & I-CAR training and certifications Health, dental, vision, and life insurance Paid time off and holidays Friendly, supportive team culture Free on-site parking Location: 187 Toryork Drive, North York, ON M9L 1X9 Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:00 am–5:30 pm), Saturday optional (8:00 am–12:00 pm) How to Apply Send your resume to: 📧 sandro@garyrayauto.ca 📞 416-745-9300 Or apply directly through this link.
