Stranger Things Acting Classes. (Teens and Adults.).

Dive into the word of Stranger Things and the upside down. These acting classes are tailored for beginners, those looking to improve their skills, and anyone looking to gain a little more confidence and try something new for the first time! No experience necessary but also welcome! (Private one-on-one lessons and group classes available. Teaching ages 14+ including adults.). My name is Amber and I am a drama teacher and vocal coach teaching Ontario wide. I specialize in a variety of techniques for solo and group theatre, building confidence, and performance anxiety. I have 10+ years experience acting in theatre and as a vocalist, seven years of private/ professional training, and I have been teaching full-time since 2021. Learn how to: -- Analyze a script. -- Create a character background and arch -- what makes a character tik? Why are they the way they are? -- How to pull from different emotions and scene information using techniques used in theatre. -- How to make scene choices physically and emotionally. -- Analyze other actors character portrayal and references used for them in the show. -- For groups: Perform your favourite monologues from the show infront of the rest of the group and get feedback in real time. (No pressure to perform if you don't feel comfortable.). (We will be using the same scripts as used in the show and you can pick your own monologue from any season.). Robin's rants, Eddie's cafeteria scene, Henry's Hawkins Lab monologue, or Max explain Camezots -- You name it we can study it! All classes are online on Google Meet and Zoom. Lesson spots available between 4pm to 9pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, Rates: -- $40 an hour for a private one-on-one lesson. -- $45 a month for two classes. (Hour and a half.). -- $100 for a four week course. (Hour and a half.). (Ages 14 to 17 in one group. Ages 18+ and adults in the second group.). About me as an instructor: -- Teaching full-time privately and group class workshops since 2021. -- Took four years of University level theatre in high school. Was a teaching assistant in two semesters of a Grade 9 Drama Class at BMLSS. -- Been in Shakespeare Theatre In The Park productions with PRISM Theatre, The Rock Horror Picture Show, Dear Evan Hansen The Not So Musical, and as well as being shortlisted to be cast in Bat Out Of Hell The Musical at the Ed Mirvish Theatre in 2019. -- I have completed course certifications through The Voice College. (The Mechanics Of The Voice, and Anatomy 1.). (Going for my Advanced Certificate next year.). -- I have been privately trained for seven years in singing, vocal health, and screaming by Britta Goertz (25+ year owner of Harsh Vocal School.)., VocalsRock (Complete Vocal Institute.)., and Tobi Duncan, as well as taken workshops with Melissa Cross, and Dr. Ingo Titze. -- Have a safeguarding certification through MusicTeacher in association with the RSL Awards. -- Ten years performing experience at shows and festivals in Canada and the UK including Rock The Mill in Cambridge, Warped Tour Toronto, and Supporting Silverstein, Counterfeit, (Jamie Campbell-Bower from Stranger Things.)., and Bleak Soul.
