DESCRIPTION: Valsoft is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to join our team in Canada. ABOUT VALSOFT CORP.: Established in Canada in 2015, Valsoft has grown to a global portfolio of 118+ companies, acquiring and developing vertical market software companies, enabling each business to deliver the best mission-critical solutions for customers in their respective industries. A key tenet of Valsoft’s philosophy is to invest in well-established businesses and foster an entrepreneurial environment that molds companies into leaders in their respective industries. Valsoft looks to buy, hold and create value through long-term partnerships with existing management.  INVESTMENT APPROACH: Unlike private equity and venture capital firms, we are Entrepreneurs who Buy, Enhance and Grow Software Businesses. That’s right; we don’t sell businesses. We form a strategic alliance with existing management teams. We recognize the dedication and perseverance required to create a firm and place a premium on customers’ and workers’ well-being over short-term goals.   CULTURE: Valsoft is more than just a place to work; we’re a team. We mean it when we say people are our greatest assets, so investing in them is our number one priority. We create an environment where our employees feel first-day-on-the-job excitement, day after day, creating a culture of high performers and collaboration. We celebrate our milestones, and we’re proud of them. We Dream Big, Stay Humble and Stay Hungry.  POSITION DESCRIPTION: Valsoft is seeking a dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy, infrastructure, and innovation across our growing global portfolio. This role is critical to shaping a cohesive technology vision across multiple companies, driving operational excellence, fostering scalability, and ensuring robust security practices. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with technical expertise and brings strong cybersecurity awareness to collaborate closely with our CISO and technology leaders across the group. In addition, the CTO will play a key role in exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and drive innovation across our businesses. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and execute a technology roadmap aligning with Valsoft’s long-term business goals across diverse portfolio companies. Oversee infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and enterprise architecture initiatives to ensure scalability, resilience, and efficiency. Evaluate, pilot, and implement AI and automation tools to streamline operations, strengthen analytics, and enhance customer experiences across the portfolio. Partner with the CISO to align infrastructure and security priorities, challenge assumptions, and strengthen cyber risk management. Support post-acquisition integration efforts, harmonizing technology platforms and processes across newly acquired companies. Drive innovation by adopting emerging technologies to optimize operations and improve customer experience. Mentor technology leaders across the portfolio, fostering collaboration and a culture of continuous improvement.   REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Technology, or similar senior technology leader in a multi-entity or group environment. Deep expertise in infrastructure, enterprise systems, and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP). Experience leveraging AI, data analytics, or automation technologies to drive business impact. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles with the ability to challenge and collaborate with security leaders. Experience scaling technology platforms for high-growth environments and standardizing systems across businesses. Strong track record in technology strategy, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.   ADDITIONAL or PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with M&A integrations, particularly technology and infrastructure alignment. Exposure to vertical market software or SaaS-based business models. Strong business acumen, with the ability to align technology investments to financial and operational outcomes.   Ready to join a collaborative and innovative team where you can make an immediate impact?
