




//See English version below…// Role: Dialogue Audio Editor (on-call) Montreal, Canada Purpose of Job: The Audio Editor plays a key role within the Audio/Post team at Side Montreal. As an Audio Editor, you will need to ensure that all tasks, technical and administrative, are completed in a timely manner to support the delivery of audio assets. You will support the recording and post-production team, helping to ensure the timely completion of deliverables and milestones. Duties and Key Responsibilities: Dialogue Editing: Edit and clean up dialogue tracks to ensure clarity, consistency, and high-quality sound. Noise Reduction: Apply noise reduction techniques to remove unwanted pops, noise and artefacts. Synchronisation: Ensure dialogue is perfectly synchronised with the visual elements of the project, when applicable. Quality Control: Perform quality checks to maintain audio standards and consistency across all projects. Work with provided tools and scripts. Collaboration: Work closely with recording engineers, sound designers, and other team members to achieve the desired audio outcome. File Management: Organise and manage audio files, applying the proper filenaming struction and maintaining detailed records and backups. Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the editing process. Other: Adhere to company Security, Confidentiality and Health and Safety procedures and ensure the compliance of the team. Adhere to the company IT and HR procedures and ensure the compliance of the team. Understand ethical behaviour and business practices and ensure that own behaviour and the behaviour of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organisation. Knowledge, Experience and Skills: Proficiency with Pro Tools, Izotope RX, Excel. Nice to have: knowledge or proficiency with Adobe Audition. Ability to work in both Mac and PC environments. Strong attention to detail and a keen ear for audio quality. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently. Able to adapt and learn new skills and software. Strong time management and organisational skills. Self-driven, resourceful and a team player who can work well with all levels. Qualifications: Education: A degree or diploma in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in dialogue editing or a related field.
