My lessons are thoughtfully tailored to each student’s goals, experience level, and musical interests. I work with beginners through advanced students, adapting my approach to support both structured learning and creative exploration. Lesson topics can include jazz, classical repertoire, rock, blues, and pop, with a strong emphasis on core skills such as technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and ensemble playing. Beginners typically start with a combination of the Suzuki Method and the Piano Adventures series, progressing smoothly into the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) certificate program. I am also experienced in preparing students for university entrance auditions, helping them develop confidence, musicianship, and strong performance skills. My teaching philosophy is supportive and student-centred, balancing technical rigour with musical creativity. I am passionate about helping students develop their own musical voice, whether through mastering classical repertoire, learning contemporary styles, or exploring jazz improvisation. "Isaac is an accomplished pianist and educator with a rich background in both classical and jazz music. His versatility as a performer and teacher allows him to connect with students of all ages and musical interests. A native of Ontario, Canada, Isaac began classical piano studies at age seven. In 2011, he placed third in the Ontario Music Festivals Association, and in 2012 he earned his RCM Level 10 Piano with first-class honours. During high school, he discovered a deep passion for jazz, which led him to pursue advanced studies at the Schulich School of Music in Montreal. Isaac graduated from McGill University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Piano, having studied under respected Montreal musicians. Since then, he has been active as both a professional musician and a dedicated piano teacher in Montreal, and is currently the keyboardist for Rapallo."
