THE OPPORTUNITY The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is hands-on and requires strong technical expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated machinery in a regulated manufacturing environment. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to join a growing team and directly support JY Care’s commitment to high-quality Canadian manufacturing. POSITION DESCRIPTION The Maintenance Technician is responsible for: Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform corrective and preventive maintenance according to standards and schedules. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and system problems based on test results, error messages, and operator feedback. Repair and maintain production equipment to ensure consistent operating efficiency. Collect and document repair/maintenance data and ensure proper follow-up actions are taken. Preventive Maintenance (PM) & Utilities Plan, schedule, and carry out preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Oversee and perform routine checks, maintenance, and repairs for production-related utilities, including water, electricity, compressed air, gas, and related systems. Spare Parts Inventory & Budgeting Monitor, maintain, and replenish spare parts inventory. Prepare and manage the annual spare parts budget. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of parts and materials. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and PM schedules according to ISO 13485 and GMP SOP requirements. Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications. Support compliance with regulatory standards in a clean room manufacturing environment. Technical Support & Operations Support installation, set-up, and programming of equipment. Provide demonstrations of equipment operation for new machine operators. Communicate safety, control, and operating features of equipment in a clear and concise manner. Health, Safety & Continuous Improvement Communicate potential mechanical hazards to team leads. Ensure adherence to safe work practices and company procedures. Continuously develop technical skills to stay current on equipment and processes. Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and systems. Assist with other duties as required. Requirements Required Qualifications Post-secondary education required. College or University program in electro-mechanical and/or automation preferred. Experience operating automated machines and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical/technical issues. Strong ability to diagnose and repair complex issues with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency with hand tools. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ultrasonic welding. Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (healthcare, food, pharma, or NHP). Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese is considered a strong asset. Perform other duties as assigned by the Value Stream Supervisor. Qualifications: CWB Certification or Welding Diploma preferred. 1–3 years MIG welding experience, ideally in production. CNC Set-up Operator

Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor the CNC Set-up Operator organizes and sets up the manufacturing equipment to produce finished good to spec as identified by the engineering drawings.
