Job Summary We are looking for a versatile and proactive Business Operations Associate or Manager with a strong focus on billing and financial operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the company’s internal processes, managing cross-functional initiatives, and driving both day-to-day and strategic operational goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic tech environment. Key Responsibilities Drive Business Operations Ensure cross-departmental alignment by supporting core business activities. Document and improve internal processes across teams. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and manage special projects. Lead Financial Operations (Billing-Focused) Own and manage client billing workflows: invoicing, tracking usage, and reconciliation. Collaborate with Customer Success, Engineering, and Finance for billing accuracy. Follow up on outstanding payments and maintain clear invoicing records. Support vendor billing, expense tracking, and budgeting. Contribute to financial reporting and forecasting with accurate billing insights. HR & People Operations Manage onboarding/offboarding, policy updates, and employee documentation. Maintain HR systems and compliance records. Support initiatives that improve employee engagement and retention. Strategic & Compliance Projects Partner with leadership on cross-functional initiatives to drive growth. Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders. Support compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, data privacy) and audit preparation. Administrative Support Manage calendars, team tools, and other administrative tasks. Step in as needed to support high-priority areas and solve operational issues. Requirements 4+ years of experience in operations, billing/finance, HR, or cross-functional projects. Proven experience managing SaaS billing workflows or usage-based model. Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, HR, or related field. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, employment law, etc.). Availability to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Self-starter mindset with comfort in ambiguity and change. Experience in high-growth or startup environments is a plus. About This Role: The Client Success Manager will take a key role in managing our large and growing roster of sponsors and making sure they achieve their goals. In this role you would be primarily responsible for supporting our customers, helping make sure they are getting a positive return on their partnership with us by understanding their needs and objectives, building strong personal relationships and delivering an outstanding experience. The role is focused on daily delivery of high-touch service via email, phone, and face-to-face communication, coordinating with clients on logistics, in addition to helping them meet their overall partnership goals by engaging with our audience. This role is critical to the company, creating and nurturing strong client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction, renewals, and long-term loyalty. To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong work ethic, as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. This is a remote position, and also includes regular travel to other cities for in-person events. Responsibilities: Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the post-sales journey Act as primary point of contact and address all client questions and concerns effectively, escalating as needed Onboard clients, understand their needs, and ensure customers gain value from our product Ensure client event experience exceeds expectations and leads to positive reviews and contract renewal Manage all client deliverables and information flow in a timely and accurate manner Assist with logistics of gathering client materials including travel and shipping Conduct post-event feedback calls to assess areas for improvement and opportunities for upsell/renewal Prepare weekly, monthly or quarterly reports Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports Own key performance indicators including renewal rate and customer satisfaction scores Requirements This position requires a 4-year college/university degree at minimum Candidates should have a strong academic background and a minimum of 3 years of full-time, professional post-graduation experience Direct experience in customer/client success, ideally in events, conferences, hospitality or sales Basic knowledge of business software such as MS Office products, Google For Business, or similar Outstanding organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communications skills Benefits This is a full-time salaried position.
