Your main role is to ensure an efficient, safe, high-quality finished product.\r\nPrimary Objectives of the Role\r\n Orchestrate repair from keys to keys.\r\n Sense of urgency regarding completion targets.\r\n Ability to work with moving targets and changing priorities.\r\n Keeping technician staff efficient, tracking efficiencies, ensure the appropriate work is divided to techs to maximize throughput.\r\n Ensure technician team has what they need to proceed with repairs.\r\n Plan for scheduled in repairs, being proactive with having corresponding technical staff ready for repair, having parts staged, and paint code/variants selected.\r\n Work with all departments for efficient flow of repair. \r\n Thorough Understanding of performance KPI’S (Touch time, Cycle Time) \r\n Focus on process improvements, to eliminate bottlenecks and barriers. \r\n Production or Pitch meetings with technical staff to set expectations and provide guidance on flow of repairs, and targets for completion.\r\n Determine the priority of the repairs, create flow to achieve shop targets.\r\n Assist with supplements, as per shop policies.\r\n Ensure all repairs are researched against OEM Procedures, ensure technical staff has documentation for repair to follow. \r\n Production/Pitch meetings with front end staff to go over all WIP. This is so that front end staff can understand where the repairs are and which vehicles are nearing completion to provide Insurers and customers impactful updates. Or make the team aware of delays that will effect completion target, so that proper communications can be sent to Insurers and customer.\r\n Engage Estimators with Technical team to improve estimating skills.\r\n Monitor shop safety- ensure health and safety guidelines are being followed.\r\n Monitor shop cleanliness (garbage, boxes, scrap, hazardous materials) ensure being disposed of as per shop policies. \r\n Quality control between teardown - Body – prep-paint- reassembly – detail. Ensure repairs are completed as per estimate.\r\n Part of the scheduling team, balanced scheduling is key to production. \r\n Ensure vehicle are stored in compound safely, covered and locked as required.\r\n Arranging sublets where required – calibrations, tint, PDR, wheels, alignments, film applications, \r\n Highlight opportunities for ARP- Advanced Repair planning. \r\n Requirements\r\nJob Related Functional Technical Knowledge:\r\n Utilize Mitchell Connect and Audatex software\r\n Understand the flow of repair process in the shop\r\n In depth understanding of OEM Procedures\r\n In depth knowledge of Health and Safety guidelines\r\n \r\n Qualifications, Experience and other requirements: \r\n Up to date Compliance Training, such as AODA, WHMIS, Worker Health and safety Awareness and Workplace Violence and Harassment)and knowledge of Information Security PIPEDA\r\n Utilize Mitchell Connect, Audatex and Nexsyis software.\r\n 2-3 years of experience working in the automotive and/or collision repair industry \r\n Valid Class G Driver's License\r\n Knowledgeable in various Insurance “DRP” practices/guidelines.\r\n I-CAR training would be an asset \r\n Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications\r\n Be professionally dressed and be a great CSN ambassador.\r\n Advance repair planning system experience \r\n \r\n Personal Attributes:\r\n Organizational skills/Time Management: Strong planning and organizational skills, with an ability to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.\r\n Communication style: Tactful, clear, and empathetic communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & (French, remove if not required), with the ability to communicate and interact effectively with co-workers.\r\n Collaborator: Able to manage relationships in a collaborative manner, with a wide range of stakeholder groups and personality types, applying diplomacy to reach win-win resolutions\r\n Conflict Management: Frames discussions positively, takes action to resolve conflict, while minimizing tension\r\n Problem solving: Has a critical thinking approach to problem solve and is a forward thinker\r\n Flexible Thinking: Considers problems from all new perspectives and can expand on the thinking or solutions proposed by others. Job description
We invite you to become part of our team as a skilled Auto Body Prep/Refinish Technician. In this position, you will be entrusted with the precise refinishing necessary to restore each vehicle to its original, pre-accident condition. This hands-on role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of refinishing techniques as well as an acute attention to colour matching.
Responsibilities
Prepares surfaces by completing vehicle masking, priming, and applying top coats.
Applies all primers, sealers, basecoats, colour coats, and clear coats using the correct formulations according to the specifications provided by the paint manufacturer.
Refinishes vehicles in accordance with insurance guidelines and the quality standards set by management.
Inspects body and prep repairs for any issues that could affect the quality of the refinishing process and advises the production supervisor as necessary.
Takes responsibility for ensuring that all necessary items listed on the Repair Orders (RO) are completed to meet quality standards.
Executes all refinishing procedures following factory specifications.
Corrects all paint imperfections through wet sanding and polishing (such as runs, dirt nibs, etc.).
Precisely mixes paint to achieve an accurate colour match.
Adheres to vendor procedures for maintaining all tools and equipment, which includes the upkeep of the paint booth and its filters.
Keeps the workspace clean and organized to foster a safe and efficient working environment.
Performs additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience Required
At least 5 years of prior experience in a refinish position within a collision repair facility
Proficient in various sanding and masking techniques
Well-versed in automotive paints, primers, and painting equipment
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to adhere to instructions
Strong skills in problem-solving and time management
Physical endurance to handle repetitive tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Summary
The Parts and Production Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the collision repair facility by managing parts logistics and overseeing the production process from start to finish. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all necessary parts are available, repairs proceed smoothly, and production targets are met.
Primary Objectives of the Role
Parts Management:
Assist estimators with parts sourcing, pricing, and availability confirmation.
Receive, inspect, and verify parts orders from vendors, ensuring correct quantities and undamaged shipments.
Sign for deliveries and promptly enter parts into the management system.
Mirror match parts to disassembled components or reference photos for accuracy.
Organize and label parts with repair order (RO) information for easy tracking and retrieval.
Monitor and track outstanding parts orders, ensuring timely updates on estimated time of arrival (ETA) and backorders.
Process and track returns and credits for incorrect or defective parts.

We are seeking passionate candidates who possess the following experience and competencies:
A minimum of secondary school diploma; ideally has a college diploma and/or a Supervisory Certificate.
A minimum of two (2) years of Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a furniture or store fixture environment.
Knowledge of the manufacturing operations and techniques including Lean, 5S. Ideally, knowledgeable of an ERP system and aware how MRP functions and its relation to scheduling.
Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Ideally, knowledgeable of ERP/Database programs.

Summary
The role of the Production coordinator is to take the repair from keys to keys. As a production coordinator you will need to work with all departments within the collision facility to facilitate an efficient repair. Your main role is to ensure an efficient, safe, high-quality finished product.

Orchestrate repair from keys to keys.
Sense of urgency regarding completion targets.

Ensure all repairs are researched against OEM Procedures, ensure technical staff has documentation for repair to follow.
Production/Pitch meetings with front end staff to go over all WIP. This is so that front end staff can understand where the repairs are and which vehicles are nearing completion to provide Insurers and customers impactful updates. Or make the team aware of delays that will effect completion target, so that proper communications can be sent to Insurers and customer.
Engage Estimators with Technical team to improve estimating skills.
Monitor shop safety- ensure health and safety guidelines are being followed.
Monitor shop cleanliness (garbage, boxes, scrap, hazardous materials) ensure being disposed of as per shop policies.
Quality control between teardown - Body – prep-paint- reassembly – detail. Ensure repairs are completed as per estimate.
Part of the scheduling team, balanced scheduling is key to production.
Ensure vehicle are stored in compound safely, covered and locked as required.
Arranging sublets where required – calibrations, tint, PDR, wheels, alignments, film applications,
