Primary Objectives of the AutoBody (Collision Repair) Technician: Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed Thoroughly examine collision damage (Review the complete vehicle exterior body parts, check all power accessories (door locks/windows/mirrors are operational) check that the dash panel has no warning lights on. Identify any prior damages overlooked on the QA checklist/ or related on the supplemental damage sheet.) Performing structural and complete body repairs: Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components. (Assess, Repair or Replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories, doors and frame and underbody components) Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment, Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers. Welding on vehicles with the use of MIG welders and compression spot welders. Fully dismantle the complete vehicle damaged areas including the blend panel parts in order to identify all hidden damages as early in the repair cycle as possible. For example remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place, repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroof Ability to file, grind and sand repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, apply primers and repaint surfaces. Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams Restore vehicle to factory specification (Return the vehicle back to factory/OEM specifications) Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling Technician must be able to read and understand the estimates. Capable of reading and comprehending automotive repair procedures. Able to work with a variety of metals and plastics, as well as glass, electrical, and mechanical parts. Experience using frame and measuring equipment. Experience with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements Auto Body Repair and refinishing experience - 3+ years required Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer (310B) Red Seal License (310Q) (Preferred but not a must) or in a registered apprenticeship program. Technicians with I-Car and OEM certifications are favorable. Your Role Reporting directly to the Fleet Manager You are responsible for evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance as required and all in compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines. You will utilize parts from inventory and complete repairs in a timely manner. You will be servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. You will keep work environment clean and tidy. You will complete required reports as directed (i.e. sign-off on driver-initiated repair logs and logbooks, and PM service logs by division). Requirements Your Profile You possess a minimum 310T license. You have ODP certification with A/C experience. You have experience and working knowledge of light-duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline. You have superior written and verbal communication skills and sound organizational competencies. You demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills. You have excellent proven customer service experience. You have a valid G-class driving licence. You possess a clean driving record. You have a clean Criminal Record. LOCATION: HK - Toronto SHIFT: Monday to Friday 7AM to 3PM or 3PM to 11hPM Position Summary: The Mold Maintenance technician will focus on conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, cleaning and storage of all injection and compression molds onsite. Emphasis will be put on ensuring the molds are well maintained to facilitate production requirements and to the molds manufacturer’s specifications. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Find and fix root cause of injection and compression mold machine issues when machines stop working Remove, install, setup, and handover fully functioning injection/compression machines as per the established schedule Operate mobile material handling equipment to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up and repair or machinery. Inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing all injection and compression molds Competently and safely use all tools and assemble and disassemble molds and operate all machine tools in a safe manner. Conduct preventative maintenance on all compression and injection molds up to and including stripping down, cleaning, replacing date plugs, and storing all injection/compression molds and cold runners. Work with other classifications of employees in various activities such as, plant shut down periods, and in times when machinery is not operating to perform all vital activities to get equipment and machinery back into operation in minimum time. Responsible for ensuring at all times, that the employee will maintain as a result of their own work, good housekeeping as per the standard and for ensuring that they conduct themselves in a safe and orderly way as per the company polices and safe work practices. Support and follow the 5S program Ensure all chemicals are disposed of in the appropriated manner as outlined on labels. Catalog and inventory all parts and tooling pertaining to mold service. Perform a variety of other tasks as assigned when required. Requirements 1. Strong Mechanical abilities/aptitude 2. Troubleshooting skills on molding machines is required 3. Knowledge of Injection molding machines in general is required. 4. Rubber/plastics manufacturing experience is preferred 5. Self-motivated and results driven 6. Problem solving skills 7. Effective communicator both written and oral Benefits Hourly rate: $$33.50 /hour
