Hello, I’m Coach Alex, and I’m passionate about tennis. I’m 49 years old and have been playing this sport since the age of 12. I am a Tennis Canada–certified tennis coach and also a Tennis Analytics–certified Technical Analyst. Over the past two years, I served as a coach at Tennis Montréal. Until the end of April, I offer private lessons at the Décathlon store gymnasium in Laval, open to children or adults of beginner to advanced levels. You may choose to add ball machine usage or video analysis. During each session, emphasis is placed on these five game situations: Serve; Return; Rallies; Smash and Lob; Volley. If you opt for a session with the ball machine, it enables practice of these four phases of play (Defense, Rally, Attack, Finishing the Point). The goal is to improve your movement, better adapt to balls of varying heights, distances, directions, and speeds, cover different court zones more effectively, and apply tactics. You may choose to add video analysis. This helps improve your technique. For example, if you seek greater consistency in your serve, I will record a video of you executing your serve. Then, I analyze the kinetic chain and compare your video with that of a top-level player filmed from the same angle. In addition to the video analysis, you receive an analytical report in PDF format.
