I build custom drones. FPV racing setups, camera and sensor integration, payload-capable builds, whatever fits what you're actually trying to do. If you just want to take nice photos and fly casually, a stock DJI will do that better and cheaper than anything I build. Honestly, just buy one. But if you're into FPV racing or freestyle and want a frame, motor, and prop combo tuned to how you actually fly (and something you can repair yourself after a crash instead of replacing the whole thing), that's where a custom build makes sense. Same if you need to carry a payload or sensor a stock drone can't handle, like a heavier camera rig or a thermal sensor. Or maybe you already have a camera and just want it properly integrated instead of buying a whole new drone around it. Some people also just don't want to deal with forced firmware updates, geofencing, or being locked into one company's app, and want something they fully own and control.
