We are now looking for a Automotive Service Technician: Keep Shop and work areas clean Service and repair customer vehicles Provide estimates for tire and parts replacement on vehicles Keep oil and all chemicals stocked Keep inventory of all shop supplies up to date and stocked Perform and inspect vehicles for Ontario Safety Inspection Report any issues to the Mechanical Supervisor Complete estimate sheet (SOP) for body shop collision estimates and email them to appropriate personnel. Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters. Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components. Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting road tests, adjusting controls and systems. Complies with provincial vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs. Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options. Requirements Bilingual French and English. Automotive Service/Mechanical experience.
