It holds it's tuning remarkably well, even better than many other guitars in the $500-$1,000 range. They just don't make entry level guitars like this anymore... It also has a genuine Abalone Rosette that frames the soundhole, which gives the guitar a classy extra touch of elegance.\r\n\r\nThere is some finish checking on the back of the guitar (where the colour is faded, but the wood and finish are totally intact) from the guitar being rubbed aganist the lap and body of myself and it's previous owner while it was played. This checking can be seen in the 3rd photo.\r\n\r\nThere are even a few minor nicks where the guitar was gently bumped by it's previous owner, but there are no cracks, splits, there are not even any significant dents on the instrument.\r\n\r\nThe dings and shallow scratches hardly show up on camera, but I did my best to show them as visibly as possible in the 1st and 4th photos... Rest assured, these are hardly noticeable, and do not affect the playability or longevity of the instrument IN THE SLIGHTEST!\r\n\r\nThe only other issue with this guitar is that there is a hairline opening at the heel to neck joint. This sepearation is not even thick enough to insert a piece of printer paper into, and has been pefectly stable over the last 4-6 years, and a simple truss rod adjustment has stabilized the guitar in it's present state, so it should remain unchanged over the next 20-50 years, ( provided the guitar is not dropped or smashed; obviously). This slight seperation ca be seen in the 5th photo.\r\n\r\nWhen they were released new, their sugested retail price (in early 1990's dollars) was around $400 ($379.00 plus tax), and even now, they often sell used for between $350-$600.
