To learn more about us: https://sogeclair.com/msb/ Job Summary: The incumbent is responsible for 3D design and modeling of parts and/or assemblies. Additionally, they produce 2D drawings from the 3D model, adhering to the client's technical drawing standards or those of MSB. Main Responsibilities: Conduct feasibility, design, operation, and performance research on parts, mechanisms, and systems; Participate in the development of innovative new products that meet very high customer requirements and achieve internal targets for cost, reliability, and performance; Obtain all necessary regulatory documents related to research and development; Perform stress analyses as required; Participate in project planning. May be called upon to lead projects; Prepare cost and time estimates, design reports, and quotations; Design parts and systems; Generate appropriate submission and drawing information to enable assembly while meeting various requirements, including cost, quality, and reliability; Prepare contractual documents and evaluate submissions; Supervise technicians and other designers/engineers (if applicable), and review and approve designs, calculations, and estimated costs; Optimize designs to ensure system competitiveness. Propose solutions aligned with recognized industry practices; Participate in mentoring, training, and evaluation of the engineering team; Participate in the assembly of components, testing, adjust as needed, and verify that tests comply with the test plan; Ensure project hour budgets and component costs are met. Requirements Skills: Demonstrate rigor and attention to detail. Be innovative and focused on continuous improvement. Practical and resourceful personality who is willing to get hands-on. Understand mechanical systems, how they are assembled and built. Understand material properties and their applications. Understand how loads are distributed within systems and account for this in design and approach. Strong priority management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines. Team-oriented, positive, and proactive attitude. Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of experience in a mechanical or aerospace engineering role. Experience in manufacturing mechanical aerospace products. Proficiency in Catia V5 software is mandatory. Bilingual proficiency in French and English (spoken and written) to interact with clients who are exclusively English-speaking (more than 50% of the time). Job Specifics: Must be a member of the engineering professional order 4 days of on-site work
