The Countdown Has Officially Started

We are a local family who survived a very tragic domestic violence situation and recently started over with nothing but determination and hope. My son and I are safe — and that matters most — but rebuilding a life after trauma comes with real financial strain. The ending of the relationship left us with no belongings and the violence has left me with life altering injuries. Im now only a few days away before my medical journey is to begin. Ive been juggling 4 jobs trying to rebuild and replace our basics and essentials while maintaining bills and buying groceries. As everyone knows this is very challenging especially to a single parent and the added inflation. There hasn't been many pennys left for me to save to cover all the expenses of travel accommodations and missed work once my medical journey begins. Im absolutely terrified of losing everything weve fought so incredibly hard to build back. Im scared of being put in the position to have to choose between my health or ignoring my injuries even longer in order to keep working my life away so we don't lose our safe place. Ive started a fundraiser and have been trying so incredibly hard at sharing it. I’m doing everything I can. I’m not giving up. I just need a little help while I regain my footing. I just need someone to belive we deserve this second chance at life.
