If you are struggling…
Description
I was a Registered Practical Nurse before. My dr did a med error that caused pnes seizures and a destabilization of my personality. I had bladder incontinence and staggering. I made it worse to study it to report on a street prescription. Here it is: take cue cards. Write one thing (a category) on each card. Ex. Hygiene, clothing, vitamins, emails, phone use, music, studying, social time. Do hundreds of cue cards. Now every day take some or all of them out, and put them in a circle on the floor. Stand inside it. Now choose some. As many or as few as you want. Now everyday update your cue cards with what you did for those categories. True growth is tiny steps repeated consistently. As well, if you smoke, go to a thrift store for a smoking jacket. In chaos, the vibe of French bohemian can help you. You don’t want to bypass for pragmatic tasks of cue cards. You want to select the cue cards for the day, then at end of day if didn’t update those cue cards, write about why. Emotional coaching is the best re parenting style. The cue cards merely mirror you. They’re a clinical mirror and rehabilitation aid. It’s that what did you do and not do. Perhaps you’re trying to be someone you’re not anymore. Perhaps you can’t exercise as then emotional pain emerges. So then you can start a cue card for time to journal. Caveat: once start therapy, it can cause destabilization. The cue card system puts the control in the writers hand re simply task based accountability or a more expansive integrative holistic system. I also don’t use it. lol. I don’t feel ready to and heading to a sexual assault retreat for somatic work. I’ll use it after that, having a milestone in my life re Life Before and Life After. The cue cards are a strategy that can be of clinical support. Merely an idea.
