SALVAGE SEEKERS

‎I love to salvage and thrift store search for all sorts of items, because it's fun, you never know what your going to find, and it stops good items from going to the landfill and being wasted. ‎ ‎I would like to create my own respectful salvaging, recycling and thrifting group with other like minded people. ‎ ‎Some of the items I enjoy collecting are ‎-Quality electronics in good working condition ‎-Almost anything metal ‎-Coloured glass ‎-Candles for wax ‎-Textile material ‎-Hardwoods and other good quality lumber ‎-Anything with a very intensive amount of machining required like specialty machine parts or drill bits ‎-Almost anything that is intricately hand crafted ‎-Art materials like paints, markers, clays, specialty compounds ‎-Real leather ‎-Certain natural stones and masonry ‎ ‎My property is only 1/3 acre so I can only store so many finds and I've had to become more picky about what objects I choose to keep long term. ‎I would also like to form a partnership of sorts with someone who has a much larger property to store salvaged objects. So that when I do find future larger finds I could relay that info to you instead of just having to leave it like I normally do. I see great items being hauled away to the dump quite frequently just because they couldn't find a buyer on Kijiji and they are too lazy or uninterested in listing for free.. ‎ ‎If this sounds interesting to you please send me a reply telling me what kind of items you like to salvage yourself along with a bit about why you like to salvage or why you would like to learn more.
