Sunnyside Music is conveniently located seconds off the 401 on beautiful Sunnyside Rd. (Map in photos). Sue Shurrock is well known in the area having taught in multiple venues across south-eastern Ontario. Her private and group students have been featured at multiple competitions, recitals, concerts throughout the area. Sue has extensive knowledge and experience including: -Bachelor of Music Education from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York. -Bachelor of Education from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. -Teachers Piano, Theory, and Voice -Public school music teacher -Music camp director -Church music director -Group ensemble conductor -Accompanist -Composer -Private piano & voice teacher for over 20 years -Performer -Musical theatre experience -Judge for local piano competitions -Teaches all genres including classical, gospel, bluegrass, celtic, folk, blues & jazz -Recently released her album “Silver Lining” -Author of “Sunnyside Music Series” repertoire and workbooks -Teaches students to play by note and by ear -RCM exam prep. Sue is fantastic with children and thoroughly skilled at teaching adults. She truly thrives as a teacher and is an excellent communicator with each student.
