Help two teenagers develop their French language skills and gain confidence in their learning. Carrefour Parenfants is seeking a volunteer to provide French academic support to two high school students—one in Secondary 1 and the other in Secondary 5. Whether it involves reading comprehension, grammar, verb conjugation, writing, or study methods, these youth require consistent guidance to reinforce their knowledge and progress in this essential subject for their academic success. About Us Carrefour Parenfants is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing family well-being by supporting children’s development and assisting parents in their parenting responsibilities and personal growth. Your Role Each week, you will support two teenagers with their French homework and learning. Specifically, you may: • Assist youth with French homework and studies; • Explain concepts related to grammar, verb conjugation, syntax, and reading comprehension; • Support writing assignments and reading activities; • Encourage the development of effective study habits; • Foster independence, perseverance, and self-confidence; • Tailor your support to each individual’s needs and level. Ideal Candidate This opportunity may suit you if you: • Have strong written and spoken French proficiency; • Are comfortable with French concepts taught in high school; • Enjoy working with teenagers; • Demonstrate patience, active listening, and pedagogical skills; • Know how to encourage and motivate youth; • Are reliable, punctual, and committed.
